U.S. offshore rig count stuck at 13 units

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. remained steady last week but dropped six units year over year, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +9 to 411 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 9 from last week at 411 with oil rigs up 9 to 318, gas rigs unchanged at 92, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 361 rigs from last year’s count of 772, with oil rigs down 346, gas rigs down 14 and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 13, down 6 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -24 rigs to 92 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is down 24 from last week to 92, with oil rigs down 17 to 41, gas rigs down 7 to 51.

Canada Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last year’s count of 98, with oil rigs down 11, gas rigs up 5.
