The first position up for grabs at MPS is that of project manager, who will be responsible for leading the delivery of the company’s full-scale WaveSub wave energy converter prototype.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the in-house design and development team and external contractors to ensure the prototype is designed, constructed, installed and operated within the project timing and budget, MPS said.

Also, MPS is seeking an experienced electrical and control engineer to join its offshore renewable energy device development team. The focus of the role within the first 12 months will be to develop the electrical, control and communications system design for a large sea-going prototype of the WaveSub wave energy converter, according to MPS.

Working with the design and development team and external contractors, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing several distinct work packages related to the development, supply, and commissioning of the WaveSub electrical systems.

In addition, MPS is looking for another lead engineer responsible for marine structures. Working with the design and development team and external contractors, the engineer will be responsible for managing the development, supply, and commissioning of the main structural and mooring systems for a large sea-going prototype of the WaveSub wave energy converter.
