MaRINET2 troubleshoots funding applications

Authorities & Government

The MaRINET2 project has organized a webinar to clarify the process of applying for funding support to access a network of testing and research infrastructures across Europe.

The webinar, to be held on May 12, 2017, will explain the application and evaluation process for the first call, launched last month, and running until May 20.

Marinet2 is a €10.5 million project, funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program.

The project will seek to accelerate the development of offshore renewable energy technologies by providing free-of-charge access to a network of 57 research facilities across Europe, which will be granted through a series of competitive calls for applicants.

The webinar will feature Jacopo Moccia, Policy and Operations Director at Ocean Energy Europe, who will introduce the topic.

Participants will also have the opportunity to pose specific questions directly to the MaRINET2 team, which will also include Alan Tassin from Ifremenr and Katie Lync from the project coordinator MaREI (Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland) Centre.

The webinar will run for approximately 45 minutes, and requires registration.
