U.S. weekly offshore rig count up a notch

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. is up by one unit over the last week, according to a weekly rig count report by Baker Hughes Company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +3 to 323 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 3 from the previous report to 323 with oil rigs up 5 to 246, gas rigs down 2 to 75, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 476 rigs from last year’s count of 799, with oil rigs down 417, gas rigs down 58 and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 to 13, down 9 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada 0 rigs to 102 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 102, with oil rigs up 2 to 40, gas rigs down 2 to 62.

Canada Rig Count is down 36 rigs from last year’s count of 138, with oil rigs down 47, gas rigs up 11.
