Atlantis Resources is making final preparations to install the first phase of the MeyGen tidal array project in the Pentland Firth, off Caithness.

Edinburgh-based tidal energy developer has informed that the multiple turbines for the Phase 1A of the MeyGen project are in the final stages of assembly.

Meanwhile, the loadout of the equipment continues at Nigg Energy Park. MeyGen Phase 1A will see the installation of four 1.5MW turbines.

The companies that will conduct the installation at MeyGen project site are DEME Group’s GeoSea working alongside James Fisher Marine Services.

Geosea will use the jack-up vessel MV Neptune to mobilize the equipment and install all heavy turbine foundation structures.
