Wales sets up stakeholder event on marine licensing changes

Authorities & Government

The Welsh government is organizing a stakeholder event related to the proposed changes on the fees and associated charges for marine licensing.

The event will provide direct access to Welsh government officials and members of Natural Resources Wales’ Permitting Service to explain the proposed changes and answer queries, the government informed.

Early in September the Welsh government launched a public consultation regarding the proposed changes to the fees and charges for marine licensing, required for the construction of tidal energy projects, with the aim to provide a fair and adequate provision of services.

The half day stakeholder event will be held on the October 10, 2016 in Cardiff.

The consultation closes on November 28, 2016.
