Business & Finance

Huisman has announced that André Meijer will step down from his position as CEO of the company, with immediate effect.

The company will implement an internal solution and adjust the management structure accordingly, if required, Huisman informed.

André Meijer said: “I regret that we came to the decision to part the company, but I am convinced that Huisman has the capabilities and quality to continue to succeed in the future, despite the difficult trading environment.”

Joop Roodenburg, Huisman’s CTO, on behalf of the Huisman Board, said: “I thank André for his contribution which will prove useful in the very difficult trading environment our industry is facing and I wish him all the best in his future career.”

Huisman is a globally operating company with experience in the design and manufacturing of heavy construction equipment.

The company has recently collaborated with Dutch tidal turbines producer Tocardo Tidal Turbines on the Eastern Scheldt tidal project. Huisman financially supported the project, and designed the turbines’ suspension structure.
