Minesto’s CEO resigns

Business & Finance

The Board of Swedish tidal energy developer Minesto has appointed Martin Edlund as acting CEO of the company following the resignation of Anders Jansson from the position.

Jansson decided to leave his position after 10 years at Minesto, and 9 years as the company’s CEO.

He will remain as a resource for the company during his notice period, Minesto informed.

Jansson said: “The company is now entering a new phase, industrializing the Deep Green. After a successful IPO in 2015 and a fully funded business plan, I feel that someone with a more extensive industrial background would be of better benefit to the company.”

Martin Edlund’s role as CEO will be temporary until the Board of Minesto has been able to identify and recruit a suitable successor.

Because of Edlund’s new role, the Board has decided to appoint Bengt Adolfsson as Chairman of the Board at Minesto.

Bengt Adolfsson, new Chairman of the Board, said: “We would like to thank Anders Jansson for his time as CEO of Minesto. Anders has in a meritorious way paved the way for the current focus on technology development and future commercialization of Deep Green.”
