DNV GL gets new CEO

The Board of Directors of DNV GL Group has appointed Remi Eriksen as the Group’s new President and CEO.

Since October 2014, the Board of Directors has undertaken an extensive executive search and selection process to find and appoint the new DNV GL Group President & CEO, DNV GL’s press release reads.

Eriksen will be replacing the current Group President and CEO, Henrik Madsen, due to his planned retirement.

Speaking on behalf of the Board of DNV GL Group, Chairman Leif-Arne Langøy, said that they are pleased the best candidate for the job was found among DNV GL’s staff, referring to Remi Eriksen track record within the company lasting for two decades.

Remi Eriksen, newly elected CEO of DNV GL, said: “I am very humbled and thankful for the opportunity to lead this company where I have worked for the past 22 years.

“In the energy sector and the business assurance market, I expect positive development in the next few years.

“It will be important for me that we continue our investments in people, R&D and innovation to develop new thinking, insights and solutions to the benefit of our customers and society.”

DNV GL is a ship and offshore classification society, and technical advisor for the energy value chain including renewables and energy efficiency, as well as the global oil and gas industry.
