ORE Catapult sets up subsea installation technology workshop

Research & Development

The workshop will address various aspects associated with subsea installation, specifically focusing on innovations which can aid cost reduction.

Foundations, substructures and installation techniques have been identified as areas in which ORE Catapult believes the industry must focus their efforts on, in order to drive down the cost of offshore renewable energy.

ORE Catapult is hosting a free, open seminar to discuss the various aspects associated with subsea installation technology such as cable damage, protection systems, underwater vehicles and installation techniques as well as the latest technology innovations in order to achieve these reductions.

The event will take place on March 26, 2015 at Charles Parsons Technology Centre, High Quay, Blyth.

This workshop is part of the Knowledge Series Workshops – a series of technical discussions which draw together technical people from the industry.
