Lockheed Martin appoints new Senior Vice President and CTO

Lockheed Martin has named Rodney A. Makoske as Senior Vice President, Corporate Engineering, Technology, and Operations and a corporate officer, and Dana Jackson as vice president and chief technology officer (CTO).

Makoske will be responsible for providing corporate leadership in the strategic areas of technology, engineering, production, supply chain, program management, and sustainment operations.

His duties also include overseeing the recruitment, retention and development of engineering and operations workforce.

Makoske holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He was a Vice President of Technical Operations for the Corporation’s Mission Systems and Training (MST) business area, leading an organization of more than 6.000 engineers.

Dana Jackson’s duties as CTO include overseeing the Corporation’s advanced technology strategy and the maturation of future innovations.He is also responsible for managing Lockheed Martin’s research and development relationships with colleges and universities, industry and international partners, and the U.S. government science and technology community.

Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.

Lockheed Martin, a Maryland-based company, is engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
