Image of the day: Tocardo’s T1 turbine array

Tocardo’s array of three T1 tidal turbines being prepared for the installation in the morning of January 23, 2015.

The array was deployed at the sluice gate of Afsluitdijk, Den Oever on the same day.

The turbines can be uni or bi directional, and their capacity is 42 – 98 kW.

The official opening is scheduled for February 20.
