AOE and TED LP team up for wave energy project

Authorities & Government

Accumulated Ocean Energy (AOE) and T’Sou-ke Economic Development Limited Partnership (TED LP), a T’Sou-ke Nation-owned partnership, have formed an agreement to develop renewable energies, with the first project focused on energy generation from the waves.

The newly formed partnership is called T’Sou-ke Ocean Energy Limited Partnership (TOE LP), and their first project is concerned with the installation of an array of ocean buoys (OBAS) near the coast to transform wave energy into highly compressed air, which will then be transported by pipeline or hoses to onshore reservoirs for storage and later used to power machinery producing electricity, it is stated in the press relase.

Kevin Paetz, CEO of AOE, said: “By working together and leveraging each other’s resources we could see energy production before the end of 2015.”

The manufacturing of the OBAS is expected to start immidiately, and will be deployed in the traditional territory of the T’Sou-ke Nation, the press release reads.

AOE is a Canadian wave energy developer company that has designed AOE Ocean Buoy Array System which produces energy from waves, with the ability to scale the system to any size according to the desired volume and pressure.
