The offshore wind developer intends to sign a number of framework agreements that cover a range of geotechnical and geophysical services.

The overall value of the framework agreements is €78 million.

The framework agreements will cover a range of nearshore and offshore geotechnical investigations, as well as a range of offshore and nearshore geophysical surveys.

The duration of the agreements is 60 months, with an option for an extension of up to 36 months.

The tender remains open until 24 July. SSE Renewables plans to issue invitations to tenders or to participate to successful candidates mid-September.

Earlier this month SSE announced that it plans to invest GBP 7 billion in green energy projects by 2025, including the Seagreen offshore wind project in Scotland, and the 3.6 GW Dogger Bank Wind Farms project in England.

In Ireland, SSE Renewables is developing the 520 MW Arklow Bank Phase 2 project.

Last year, the company also submitted applications to start surveys offshore Clogher Head and Bunmahon Bay in Ireland. The two sites could potentially accommodate 800 MW, respectively.
