Moray Firth Offshore Wind Farm to Create Hundreds of Jobs (UK)

Developers claim that offshore wind farm in Moray Firth could create hundreds of jobs.

Moray Offshore Renewables Estimates in new report that it’s going to be needed up to 1,400 construction workers, with further 280 workers to operate and maintain wind turbines.

Moray Offshore Renewables is a joint venture company owned by Repsol and EDP Renewables.

The development zone is located on the Smith Bank in the Moray Firth and covers an area of 522.15 km2. It is located 22.2 km from the coast and has water depths between 30 and 60 meters.
