Germany: BnetzA Opens Case against TenneT

Following a complaint filed by Windreich, German energy network regulator BnetzA opened a case against TenneT, one of the country’s grid operators, which has recently been accused of setting back offshore wind development in Germany.

Windreich submitted a complaint because TenneT took no action after the company requested a branch line to be run from an existing North Sea cable to its Deutsche Bucht wind park, Reuters reports.

A hearing on this matter has been scheduled for September 12.
