Research and Markets has announced the addition of the ‘Global Offshore Wind Turbine Market 2011-2015’ to their offering.

TechNavio launched its report Global Offshore Wind Turbine Market 2011-2015 based on an in-depth study covering the EMEA and APAC regions. The report aims to aid decision makers’ understanding of the present and future landscape of the market.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from TechNavio’s Clean Tech team said: ”With the increasing number of turbines, job opportunities in the above mentioned work areas have increased. For instance, it is estimated that 200,000 jobs related to wind energy will be created with 1,000 new offshore wind turbines installed every year globally. This is one of the significant positive trends in the Global Offshore Wind Turbine market, which would positively affect the lifestyle of the population in various countries.”

According to the report, the most important driver for this market is the favorable government policies. Compared to the early stages of development of offshore wind turbines in 1991, the amount of support offered by governments across countries in terms of policies and subsidies has been enormous in recent years. This is one of the major driving factors of the Global Offshore Wind Turbine market.

Further, the report also discusses that the wind turbine component failure is a significant threat to the market vendors.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key players.
