EAOW Submits East Anglia ONE Planning Application

Planning application for East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm has been submitted by East Anglia Offshore Wind (EAOW), a joint venture between Vattenfall and ScottishPower Renewables, EADT24 news site reports.

National Infrastructure Directorate will now consider the planning application and, if approved, the onshore construction part could begin in 2016 and offshore work could begin in 2017.First power generation is expected in 2018.

This 1,200MW offshore wind farm plan comprises up to 325 wind turbines and covers an area of 300km2 in the southern North Sea, with the capability of supplying 770,000 households with electricity.
