Germany: BBB Contracted to Perform High Level Training Courses on Wind Projects

Joachim Binotsch, general manager of BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB), and Sylvia Schubert, head of BBB’s wind assessment department, are contracted by the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) to perform high level training courses in a three-day-seminar with the title “Wind Measurements, Wind Yield and Due Diligence”.

The seminar takes place in Berlin from 29 to 31 January 2013 and will be repeated in May (Dusseldorf) and in October (Stuttgart).

In his lectures BBB’s co-founder Binotsch will give an introduction to the specialized area of Due Diligence for wind energy projects. The participants will be informed about the main aspects, the stakeholders and their interaction in such a process. Furthermore, Binotsch will describe the issues to be examined in the technical part of a project assessment.

In three lectures during the seminar Schubert will speak on different aspects of wind yield assessments. She will inform about data bases and tools used for the production of wind reports and about related uncertainties. Apart from that she will present different types of yield calculations and their role in the course of a development process of wind energy projects.

While Schubert is contracted as lecturer at BWE for the first time, Binotsch has already been giving expert courses on Due Diligence in the past. More BBB specialists are active at Euroforum training organisation and at the in-house training courses organised by BBB itself.
