IMCA Welcomes New Technical Adviser

International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has appointed Reza Yaghoobi as the technical adviser – Marine specializing in DP electrical, control and automation.

He has joined the global trade association from London Energy where he was electrical and instrumentation engineering manager.

Reza Yaghoobi has previously worked for Berry Plastics Corporation, GNEC, Braemar Shipping and Monenco.

Mark Ford, technical director, IMCA said: “We are delighted to welcome Reza to the technical team he is IMCA’s first technical adviser with specialist electrical knowledge. His career spans three decades and includes experience working both onshore and offshore in the renewables, conventional and worldwide energy industries.

“He is an expert in electrical, control and automation and has a very good understanding of HSE management systems, technical support, power plants, HV systems, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), plant maintenance, PLC fault finding and programming and distributed control systems such as Siemens & Valmet control systems, so the ideal addition to our team of technical experts.”

Reza Yaghoobi is a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science; he also has marine engineering/electrical experience.
