The duration of the contract is now firm until December 31, 2023, plus two yearly options thereafter.

Normand Subsea, an offshore vessel built to perform Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) services, has been on contract to Subsea 7 since 2009.

The vessel will continue to operate under a contract Subsea 7 has with BP UK for the provision of services covering BP’s North Sea region portfolio of assets.

We are very pleased with being awarded this new contract with one of our key clients, Subsea 7. This is another evidence that the subsea maintenance activity is gradually starting to pick up again,” said Lars Peder Solstad, CEO of Solstad Offshore.

Solstad Offshore did not reveal any financial details of the contract extension.
