3D Oil Submits Dorrigo Survey Proposal to NOPSEMA

3D Oil has submitted a proposal to National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) to undertake the Dorrigo 3D seismic survey.

The Dorrigo survey is located in the Otway Basin within exploration permit T/49P which lies adjacent to Tasmania.

Water depths in the survey area are between 80-1420m with seismic data acquisition undertaken in water depths between 100-840m.

The Dorrigo seismic survey is expected to take up to 35 days between September 01 and October 31, 2019.

According to NOPSEMA, the Dorrigo survey operational area is 4350 km2. The full-fold acquisition area where seismic airguns will be operational covers an area of 1580 km2 within this larger area.
