Ulstein will construct the vessel, designed by Skipsteknisk in Ålesund, and prepare for the topside equipment.

The CLV is 31 m wide, 149.9 m long, with a deadweight of 17,000 tonnes, and can accommodate 90 people.

Palfinger Marine has been chosen to deliver deck equipment package consisting of abandon and recovery (A&R) winches, A-Frame, knuckle boom cranes and overhead travelling gantry cranes.

“We have been working on this project for almost two years and most of the equipment has been tailor designed to fit the vessel design,” says Sverre Mowinckel-Nilsen, sales director Winches and Handling Equipment.
