Polarcus Wrapping Up Work on Barbaros Hayreddin Pasa

Business & Finance

Polarcus’ technical and operational support service agreement with Turkish Petroleum will come to an end on October 3, 2018, the Oslo-listed seismic player said on Friday.

The deal, last extended in February this year, covered seismic data acquisition management, maritime management and crewing support on the vessel Barbaros Hayreddin Pasa.

The initial contract was completed in 2013 when Polarcus agreed the sale and re-flagging of the 8-streamer 3D seismic vessel Polarcus Samur.

The vessel was repainted red and white in the design of the new vessel owner and renamed Barbaros Hayreddin Pasa.

Polarcus added that in the meantime it will be assisting its client to ensure a safe and efficient transition of the services.
