Technip, Heerema Awarded $3.5 Bln Subsea Contract by Total

Technip and Heerema Marine Contractors, signed a major lump-sum contract with Total E&P Angola for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation (EPCI) and pre-commissioning for the SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines) part of the Kaombo project, located in Block 32 offshore Angola.

The contract is valued at approximately $3.5 billion with a Technip share of around 55% and a Heerema share of around 45%. This project falls within the Technip Heerema strategic alliance formed to offer comprehensive subsea solutions through a unique combination of complementary assets, technologies and capabilities.

Aker Solutions Nets $2.3 Bln Subsea Equipment Contract in Angola

Aker Solutions won a contract worth $2.3 billion from Total to provide a subsea production system for the Kaombo Block 32 development in Angola.

Aker Solutions will deliver 20 subsea manifolds and 65 vertical subsea wellsets. The order also includes associated controls as well as work-over and tie-in systems. The first deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of 2015.

Prysmian Secures Major Subsea Grid Contract for OWP Cluster

Prysmian Group has been awarded by 50Hertz Offshore GmbH a subsidiary of 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, operator of transmission grids in Germany a new contract worth approximately up to € 730 million (including options for grid connections in value of approximately € 250 M) to design, produce and install the power cable systems for the offshore wind park cluster West of Adlergrund in the German Baltic Sea.

The production and installation of the West of Adlergrund cable systems will start in 2015.

ABB Bags $800 Mln Order for Caithness-Moray HVDC Subsea Link

ABB has won an order worth over $800 million from Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc to provide the Caithness-Moray high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission link, which will connect the electricity grid on either side of the Moray Firth in northern Scotland.

ABB will design, engineer, supply and commission two 320 kilovolt land-based HVDC Light converter stations, one rated at 1,200 megawatts (MW) at Blackhillock in Moray and another rated at 800 MW situated at Spittal in Caithness.

ABB’s scope of supply also includes submarine and underground cables covering a total transmission length of nearly 160 kilometers. The link is scheduled to become operational in 2018.

Saipem Bags $750 Mln Pemex Deal in Gulf of Mexico

Saipem has been awarded offshore Engineering & Construction contracts in the Gulf of Mexico, for a total amount of approximately $750 million by Pemex for the development of the Lakach field.

The scope of work of the contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the system connecting the offshore field with the onshore gas conditioning plant. This includes two 73 km long 18-inch diameter flowlines for the transportation of gas, and a main umbilical approximately 50 km long. Also in the Lakach field, Saipem will develop the SURF facilities which include subsea equipment, infield umbilicals, flexibles and trees and control system installation. The project will be completed by the end of 2017.

Subsea 7 Bags $460 Mln UK EPIC Gig in North Sea

Subsea 7 S.A. has been awarded its largest UK EPIC services contract, valued in excess of $460 million by Premier Oil UK Limited, in support of its Catcher Area Development, located 180km east of Aberdeen in Central North Sea Block 28/9.

The contract covers the provision of project management, engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication and installation of Catcher’s subsea facilities. The scope includes three pipeline Bundles incorporating Butting BuBi® Mechanically Lined Pipe, a riser system for the Catcher Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit, and installation of a 10”, 60 km gas export/import pipeline.

Technip Lands EPIC Gig on BP Juniper Project Off Trinidad

Technip has been awarded a substantial EPIC lump sum contract by BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC for the development of the Juniper project, to be located off the South East coast of Trinidad.

Technip’s operating center in Houston, Texas, USA, will perform the overall design, detailed engineering and project management. Offshore installation is scheduled for the second half of 2016. The flexible pipes will be manufactured at Technip’s Flexi France facility in Le Trait, France. Technip’s S-Lay pipelay vessel, the G-1200, will install the rigid pipelines.

FMC Technologies Subsea Systems for Eni’s East Hub

FMC Technologies, Inc. has received an order from Eni Angola to supply subsea production systems for its deepwater Block 15/06 East Hub development. The order has an estimated value of $393 million in revenue.

Eni is the operator of Block 15/06, while Sonangol EP is the concessionaire. The other partners of the joint venture are Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção,SSI Fifteen Limited and Falcon Oil Holding Angola SA.

EMAS AMC Bags $300 Mln Subsea Gig from Noble Energy

Ezra Holdings Limited’s Subsea Services division, EMAS AMC, has finalised three contracts with Noble Energy valued collectively at over US$300 million.

The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of subsea tie-backs for the Big Bend, Dantzler and Gunflint field developments in the US Gulf of Mexico. Offshore execution is scheduled for 2015, utilising five EMAS AMC offshore construction vessels including the newbuild, ultra-high tension, deepwater reel lay and heavy lift vessel, the Lewek Constellation.

OneSubsea Lands $270 Mln Pemex Deal in GoM

OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, has been awarded a subsea production systems contract totaling more than $270 million for the Lakach deepwater project offshore Mexico. This is the first deepwater subsea field to be developed by Pemex.

The scope of supply for the seven well system includes subsea production equipment and tooling. OneSubsea will also provide installation and commissioning services. Deliveries are expected to begin in June 2016.
