For the fourth consecutive year, Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) will present and exhibit at North America’s oil spill prevention and response conference and exhibition, Clean Gulf.

More than 2,000 attendees will congregate at this year’s event in San Antonio, Texas, on December 3-4, where MWCC will host a booth focused on the advancements made in containment capabilities in the last several years, particularly through its expanded containment system (ECS). MWCC Chief Executive Officer Don Armijo will also present during a “Well Cooperative Updates” session included as part of the “Subsea” conference track.

Armijo’s presentation will provide a progress update on MWCC’s ECS, highlight the system’s enhancements and describe how they build on the technology and capabilities of the interim containment system (ICS). Additionally, he will discuss the changes MWCC has made to its response model to better support a responsible party during an incident, leveraging the expertise the MWCC organization has developed since its inception.

Conference sessions at this year’s event will focus on the energy renaissance, response planning, new subsea technologies, surveillance techniques used in seep detection, and regulatory updates and developments. In addition, emergency response professionals will be gathering to share the latest trends, best practices and lessons learned in response operations.
