RS Aqua, JouBeh Sign Collaboration Agreement (Canada)

RS Aqua announced the signing of a collaborative agreement with Nova Scotia based Iridium hardware and service provider JouBeh Technologies (JouBeh), giving their clients access to their extensive data telemetry and equipment monitoring capabilities.

The venture, which grants the Company product and service rights within the UK and Ireland, is seen as a natural progression as more and more RS Aqua clients are using the Iridium service for data reporting and equipment security applications.

Based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, JouBeh is a leading Iridium satellite Value-Added Reseller (VAR) focused on supporting tracking and monitoring solution developers with modems, airtime, IT engineering and technical input for the research, defence, transport and leisure sectors. Service applications centre on ocean science, wildlife tracking, asset monitoring and vessel security. Extensive Iridium service expertise is complemented by a comprehensive range of hardware modules and tracking systems.

RS Aqua has been involved in Iridium service applications via telemetry links with Datawell Waverider buoys, MetOcean drifters, Novatech location beacons and, most recently, the Liquid Robotics Inc Wave Glider. In recent times a trading association with JouBeh has naturally developed as a result of client turnkey contract requirements and both parties consider the establishment of the collaborative agreement to be a logical move.

Managing Director, Roger Scrivens, comments that the company intends to uphold JouBeh’s claim to provide “crucial data anytime and anywhere on the planet” but with an obvious focus on users in the UK and Ireland.
