Oil and gas professionals are being urged to attend the ITF Annual Technology Showcase to get a glimpse of cutting-edge innovation and gain insight to potential new ways to solve industry problems.

Exhibition space has sold out and there will be a wealth of solutions on show from subsea instrumentation and deepwater cables to well construction and asset integrity technologies.

Hundreds of decision makers from global operator and service companies are expected to attend the free one day event, which takes place on 8 November at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Organised by ITF and sponsored by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, the exhibition is in its third year and will be the largest yet with a diverse selection of technology developers from Europe, US and Malaysia.

Neil Poxon, Managing Director of ITF said: “The showcase features pioneering oil and gas technology from both international developers and academia, and we want to bring these innovations to the attention of the industry. Delegates have the chance to find out about these technologies which could be potential game changers in the sector.”

A not-for-profit organisation, ITF is owned by its operator and service company members and drives the development and implementation of groundbreaking technology to provide solutions to industry challenges. Funding joint industry projects through its members, ITF enables developers to receive up to 100% funding for their innovative ideas.

ITF members have invested more than £50 million in the funding of new technology developments from early stage projects through to field trials and commercialisation. With over 170 joint industry projects launched to date, ITF aims to secure a further £50 million to launch 40 projects per year from 2015.
