Nemo Engineering Inks Contract With FMC Technologies for Subsea Development in Russia

Nemo Engineering, the subsea unit in Apply, has signed an EPC contract with FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS for delivery of subsea pipeline equipment which is an important part of FMC’s delivery for the Kirinskoye field in Russia.

The contract value amounts to approximately 30 MNOK. The pipeline equipment shall be delivered in 2011 and consist of engineering, procurement and construction of several different subsea pipeline structures and components.

The Kirinskoye field is a part of the Sakhalin field development, located approx.. 28km offshore of Ostov Sakhalin, in the sea of Okhotsk, at the eastern coast of the Russian Federation. Kirinskoye is the first major subsea project in Russia.

Håkon Strømberg, the managing director of Nemo, emphasizes that the contract is a result of a planned internationalisation strategy and many years good cooperation with FMC Kongsberg Subsea.
