Polarcus secures seismic project offshore Malaysia

Seismic services provider Polarcus has been awarded a contract for an XArray marine seismic acquisition project in Malaysia.

Polarcus said on Friday that the project duration was approximately four months with an expected start in late December 2019.

The company has not revealed any further details about the project but did state that, following the award, the Polarcus core fleet was fully booked to the early second quarter of 2020.

It is worth reminding that Polarcus signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Company (ARGAS) to collaborate on seismic projects in the MENA region earlier this month.

The previous contract for seismic work was awarded to the company in late October. The deal was for a 4D marine seismic acquisition project offshore West Africa.
