The contracts, for undisclosed clients in New Zealand and South East Asia, will see Skandi Hercules vessel start operations in December 2019 for an unnamed “major operator.”

Additionally, Skandi Singapore will start construction operations in early January 2020 in South East Asia.

Mons Aase, CEO DOF Subsea, said, “These are important awards for us securing good utilization for our vessel and resources in the Asia Pacific Region. We look forward to working with our clients to deliver safe and successful projects.”

Built in 2011, the Skandi Singapore is a purpose built dive support vessel of an STX DSV 06 design.

Built in 2010, the Skandi Hercules is a multi-purpose vessel with both construction support vessel features based on an Anchor Handling Tug Suppy (AHTS) vessel design. Skandi Hercules is best suited for field installation operations across a wide range of water depths and environmental conditions.

These two vessels were previously awarded contracts in the Asia Pacific region in March 2019.
