Polarcus said on Monday that the project would begin in the first quarter of 2019.

The seismic player added that the 3D seismic work off West Africa would last around six weeks. The company has not revealed any other details on the client nor the value of the deal.

Also, Polarcus did not disclose which vessel would be working on the project but it accompanied the announcement of the deal on social media with an image of the Polarcus Adira vessel.

The last time Polarcus was awarded a seismic acquisition project in West Africa was in December 2018. At the time, the company was awarded a two-month XArray marine seismic deal.

It is worth reminding that Polarcus won a 3D marine seismic acquisition project offshore Mexico last week. The project in Mexico will begin in the second quarter of 2019 and last for 45 days.
