Alfa Laval said on Monday that the pumping systems would be supplied to an oil facility in the Middle East and to a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be built in China.

The orders have a total value of approximately SEK 180 million ($20.2 million) and were booked in late December in the Pumping Systems unit of the Marine Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2019.

The orders comprise pumping systems for crude oil in a cavern and for crude oil offloading, slop, and ballast pump duties.

Peter Leifland, president of the Marine Division, said: “These pumping systems are used in a variety of duties, all with heavy demands on safety and reliability, where they provide an optimized performance.”

The previous order for Framo pumping systems was made in November 2018. The order entailed two pumping systems set for oil platforms in the North Sea with a combined value of approximately SEK 175 million ($19.2 million).
