Mermaid Maritime finds more subsea work in Asia

Mermaid Maritime, an international subsea and offshore drilling services company, has been awarded subsea contracts with a combined value of $4.3 million.

Mermaid said on Thursday that it won two work packages through its South East Asian business units.

The first highlighted package of work involves the DP2 dive support vessel Mermaid Sapphire. The work includes an ROV and cement/grouting spread carrying out a 16-day lump sum project involving subsea pipeline free span rectification for a national upstream oil and gas company in the Gulf of Thailand.

The second highlighted package of work involves a two-year contract for carrying out site survey and navigation services offshore East Kalimantan, Indonesia, for an undisclosed oil and gas company using the client’s or third party chartered-in vessel.

Recently, Mermaid won subsea contracts for three DP2 dive support vessels in South East Asia and the Middle East with a combined total value of $26 million. The contracts were for Mermaid Commander, Mermaid Nusantara, and Mermaid Endurer vessels offshore Malaysia, Indonesia, and Qatar, respectively.
