Innovative UK firms are set to sit down with major oil and gas players on Wednesday, where they will be pitching their subsea solutions.

According to Subsea UK, an industry body representing UK’s subsea suppliers, the initiative encourages companies to step up to the plate and present their processes and systems which have the potential to reduce operational costs and boost efficiencies.

The companies will have an ability to present their solutions to major contractors such as Apache, Bibby Offshore, Chevron, Nexen and Technip on Thursday. This will be Subsea UK’s second Springboard event, and will be held in Subsea UK offices in Westhill, Aberdeen. The association is organizing these events to help connect subsea companies with end-users,

“The focus of the pitches will be to highlight the technologies, processes and software which have the potential to address the immediate and future needs of the oil and gas industry by significantly improving efficiency,” Subsea UK said.

The event will host speakers from AISUS Offshore, Caley Ocean Systems, SECC Oil & Gas, J2 Subsea, Systems Engineering & Assessment, Aquatec Group, Tracero and SETS.

Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK said: “The event aims to help connect subsea companies with potential clients, highlighting the products and services currently available to them. By bringing the supply chain together with operators and Tier 1 companies, we hope to further encourage the uptake of current, cost-effective technologies which can improve efficiencies and speed up project delivery times.”
