SpeedCast’s comms for MMA fleet

SpeedCast International, a global satellite communications service provider, has been awarded a multi-year service agreement by the Australian offshore vessel owner, MMA Offshore, for the provision of high throughput connectivity across MMA’s global fleet.

SpeedCast said on Tuesday that MMA will be using the company’s Ku-band and C-Band global maritime network and maritime communication services.

The company also said that it will serve as a one-stop-shop for all MMA communication services at sea.

SpeedCast will provide MMA global connectivity through its Ku-band and C-Band network comprising of 35 different satellite beams which the company believes will ensure ‘exceptional redundancy and network resilience’ as well as maximum coverage.
