HAL Offshore, via its subsidiary Seamec, a provider of diving support vessels to the Indian offshore oil and gas sector, has secured more work with Indian oil company ONGC.

Following a recent announcement that it would supply its Seamec II vessel and marine crew over a 3-year contract to ONGC, for a sum of $27 million, Seamec said the work scope has now widened.

According to the latest statement by Seamec, apart from the vessel and the workforce, the deal now includes the supply of a remotely operated vehicle (ROV).

Seamec says that the charter and the ROV deals are subject to compliance with regulatory requirements by the company. The vessel will be deployed upon completion of such regulatory formalities, Seamec said.

The total contract value for the period of 3 years has now increased to more than $33 million.
