Interocean Marine Solutions, a provider of marine project solutions, has been awarded two two-year contracts by Apache to support its drilling operations in the North Sea.

Interocean said on Friday that the first contract is for marine consultancy services and covers the provision of rig move planning, risk assessments, and specialist offshore personnel to oversee operations.

The second contract, Interocean said, is for survey and rig positioning and it is the first such contract awarded to Interocean by a ‘major’ oil and gas operator since its Survey and Positioning department started operations in October 2015.

Keith Nelson, Chief Executive Officer for Interocean, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been awarded these contracts, which are a significant milestone for the business and exemplify Interocean’s drive to provide a fully comprehensive range of services to its customers.”
