Osbit teams with Seatools to develop new gangway system

Osbit and Dutch subsea technology company, Seatools, have teamed up to develop a new active motion compensated gangway system.

Osbit said on Monday that the collaboration has already created its first product innovation. The company stated that the combination of Osbit’s experience in supplying telescopic gangway equipment and Seatools’ control system solutions created the MaXccess AM-Series Walk to Work telescopic gangway. Foundation for this innovation was Osbit’s passive telescopic gangway MaXccess P-Series.

The new MaXccess AM-Series, according to Osbit, has a real-time, active control systems provided by Seatools, allowing AM-Series gangways to actively compensate for vessel motions.

Seatools has established an enviable reputation for the development and deployment of bespoke, real-time control systems for offshore equipment. Its proven technology, combined with our design and build expertise, will add real value and reduce risk for our customers”

The company also stated that the AM-Series gangways, with its active compensation for vessel motions will be able to transfer personnel quickly and safely to a wide range of offshore structures.
