Singapore’s PACC Offshore Services has secured a contract extension in Brazil for its POSH Xanadu semi-submersible accommodation vessel.

The company, also known as POSH, said the POSH Xanadu would keep on working in the Campos Basin for another year. The flotel, delivered by a Chinese shipyard in late 2014, has been operating in Brazil since the early 2015, when it started its contract with Petrobras.

Chief Executive Officer of POSH, Captain Gerald Seow, said: “We are delighted to announce the contract as it testifies to POSH Xanadu’s excellent performance and service.

“Despite facing adverse weather conditions during certain periods over the past year, she was able to achieve 100% operational uptime even when all other floatels in the area had disconnected. We are proud of our team which has delivered on our promise of operational excellence to our client.”

Certified by Det Norske Veritas, the flotel offers accommodation for 750 people.
