Statoil awards safety training contract to ResQ

Statoil has awarded a contract to Norway-based ResQ for the provision of services within safety and emergency response training. 

Statoil awarded a frame agreement to ResQ as a supplier of all safety and emergency response training, except freefall lifeboat training.

The company says that this is “the largest contract within the safety and emergency area in Norway and includes significant deliveries over several years”.

According to Offshore.no, the agreement extends over four years and includes education and training for offshore workers. Furthermore, the agreement also containss option for four more years.

Aftenbladet reports that ResQ will train 9,000 Statoil employees resulting in a potential value for the four-year contract period of NOK 500 million ($65.5 million).
