Lundin Names New MD for Malaysia

Lundin Petroleum AB, a Sweden-based oil and gas exploration and production company, has  appointed of Paul Atkinson as General Manager for Malaysia and Managing Director for Lundin Petroleum’s South East Asia (SE Asia) business.

Atkinson is joining Lundin Petroleum from Talisman Energy where he has held various senior managerial positions since 2001 and most recently holding the position of Vice President and General Manager for Australia and Papua New Guinea. Prior to joining Talisman Energy in 2001 Mr Atkinson held various positions in Lundin Petroleum’s predecessor companies including Operations Manager in Malaysia for Lundin Oil. Mr Atkinson holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering as well as a MBA.

Atkinson will start his position in early February 2014. Atkinson will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the majority of Lundin Petroleum’s SE Asia activities being focused on Malaysia.
