Oil & Gas Recruitment Specialist Bolsters its Team with New Members

An oil and gas recruitment specialist Infinity Resources International has made two key appointments as it establishes a new business stream and bolsters existing service provision to a growing client base.

Experienced industry figure Graeme Chapman has joined the Aberdeen-based company to head up a new well engineering division, focused solely upon recruitment across the drilling-related disciplines.

Senior recruitment consultant Stuart Golightly has also become part of the Infinity team, with a remit to enhance Infinity’s permanent staff services in the commercial arena.

Infinity’s turnover has risen from £2.5m in 2012 to £5.2m for its 2013 year-end in March – a rise of 108%. Infinity has targeted turnover of £10m by the end of next year.

The company, which has remained in the West End, moving from Queen’s Gardens to a 1,300sq ft office in Victoria Street, added five staff last year to take its team to 12.

The new appointments bring Infinity’s staff numbers to 14, and chief executive officer Martin Finnie said: “We’re pleased to have Graeme and Stuart on board at this pivotal time in our plans to add new breadth and depth to our service portfolio.

“Graeme is a highly experienced recruitment expert who has a very impressive track record in his specialist area, making him the ideal individual to lead the development of our new well engineering business stream.

“Stuart is also a welcome new addition to our team – his knowledge and skills in commercial staff appointments are great assets for us as we look to add new value to our services in that division.

“Our overall goal is to create an even more comprehensive service offering for clients who are increasingly looking for a complete ‘one-stop shop’ solution to their recruitment requirements.”

Chapman has worked in the oil and gas industry since the 1970s. For the past 15 years he has been focused upon specialist recruitment services, specifically in well engineering, and has led the establishment of recruitment programmes for a number of organisations.

Chapman, recruitment manager (well engineering), said: “It’s a great opportunity to create something new under the Infinity brand, and to extend their services into a key area of industry operations. I’m delighted to be part of the Infinity set up and to be playing a part in its development.”

Golightly has several years’ recruitment experience in a variety of sectors. His most recent post, prior to joining Infinity’s commercial team, was as a consultant in the commercial staff market.

Golightlysaid: “The role offers huge scope to help develop the division, and I’m excited at the possibilities it presents in terms of building our commercial capabilities to match those we possess in the technical disciplines.”

As well as providing skilled and experienced technical and commercial personnel in both the contract and staff markets, Infinity also delivers recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) via which a consultant is placed on-site.

The company also provides assistance to organisations that require a more confidential and bespoke recruitment model for the search and selection of high profile, key appointments.

Its client portfolio features operators as well as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting companies, and engineering consultancies.
