ConocoPhillips Extends Transocean Legend Contract

ConocoPhillips has decided to extend the contract with Transocean for the Transocean Legend semi-submersible drilling rig.

The value of the two-well contract for work offshore Australia is estimated at around $64 million. Dayrate for the deal has been set at $425,000. The rig’s prior dayrate was $293,000.

ConocoPhillips is using the rig for the Browse basin drilling campaign offshore W. Australia.
