Bumi Armada Takes Delivery of Accommodation & Work Barge (Malaysia)

Malaysian ship owner Bumi Armada yesterday took delivery of Armada Hibiscus vessel, from Sam Jung Holdings Limited.

Armada Hibiscus, previously known as GSP Bigfoot 3, is a 100m, 300-man accommodation work-barge with a gross weight of 10,650 tons, that was built by Oriental Precision Engineering in Korea in 2009. The vessel has 1,338sqm of free deck space, crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 500 tons and a helideck.

The Armada Hibiscus will go to work for ENI Spa (Italy) offshore Congo in December 2012. The contract worth approximately RM 56 million is for a period of two years with extension options of two periods of one year each for a further aggregated contract value of RM 56 million.
