CMA CGM Unites Containerships, MacAndrews under One Brand

French shipping major CMA CGM is joining its Containerships and MacAndrews brands under the single Containerships brand from April 1, 2019.

By joining the forces of two intra-European multimodal transport companies, CMA CGM said it would create and develop an Intra-European leading brand, combining maritime and inland solutions with complementary regional footprints.

“This new, innovative single brand will thus be able to unlock major synergies and concentrate its resources on commercial growth and on the development of high quality services for its customers,” the company explained.

CMA CGM added that the integration of the local agencies’ networks would also allow for the creation of a tailored intra-regional service.
