The company said that the individual orders for its Alfa Laval PureBallast 3 solution will be booked in the Marine Separation & Heat Transfer Equipment unit of the Marine Division between 2019 and 2024, and that a vast majority will be delivered before 2022.

“Based on a careful evaluation of the solutions on the market and our experience with PureBallast 3 Ex on board, we are confident that Alfa Laval is the right choice for ballast water treatment on our tankers,” says Jesper S. Jensen, Head of Technical Division at TORM.

“The system’s high performance, in combination with Alfa Laval’s global presence and service offering, will mean compliance security for our vessels.”

The latest order brings Alfa Laval’s orderbook to 10 fleet wide agreements secured in 2018 amid owners increasing interest to achieve compliance with the new ballast water treatment regulations that entered into force a year ago.
