G6 Adds Call to Bremerhaven on Its Transatlantic Service

Business & Finance

The newly launched AX4 container liner service operated by the G6 Alliance is to make regular once-weekly calls at EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven, starting on May 9, 2015.

The service operates on the Northern Europe/USA East Coast trades from Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Le Havre to Savannah and New York.

Hapag-Lloyd has deployed four container ships on the new transatlantic service, each with a transport capacity of around 2,800 TEUs, with the aim to meet the strong demand for exports to the US.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to handle the new transatlantic service at our terminal in future. We are dedicated to delivering high quality ship handling, dependability and high productivity,” said Wolfgang Schiemann, Managing Director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven.
