After repainting work, the 8,560 TEU set sail from Singapore on May 15, arriving at the Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT) in China on May 24, 2018.

Before arriving at the Port of Yantian, the Post-Panamax containership called at Laem Chabang, Cai Mep and Kaohsiung.

Operated on THE Alliance’s Asia to North America PN2 service, One Commitment continued its journey to Tacoma and Vancouver.

When returning to Asia, the Japanese-flagged boxship will call at Ports of Tokyo, Kobe, Kaohsiung and Singapore.

The PN2 provides an eastbound service from South East Asia, South China, Taiwan to Pacific Northwest, and a westbound service from Pacific Northwest to Japan, Taiwan and Singapore.

“ONE is excited to unveil our first magenta vessel and we would like to thank YICT on this monumental occasion. Her arrival is hailed as a significant milestone for ONE,” Shunichiro Mizukami, Region Head of East Asia, Managing Director, ONE (East Asia), commented.

ONE, a joint venture of Japanese shipping companies Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha, commenced operations in April this year.

The joint venture has about 230 vessels in its fleet totaling 1.44 million TEUs, making it the world’s sixth-largest container shipping line.

The network includes a total of 85 services, calling at over 200 ports in 100 countries.
