Eniram Expands Its Operations to Japan

A week after announcing the opening of a new office in Germany, Eniram Limited, the fast-growing Finnish provider of energy management technology and data analytic services to the shipping industry, recently announced that it is expanding its international operations to Japan.

We are seeing growth opportunities in Japan”, said Mr Philip Padfield, CEO of Eniram,and with local presence, we aim at further assisting Japanese shipping companies looking to introduce energy saving solutions to make their operations more efficient and cost effective. On November 13th in Tokyo, we will present the details of the savings that some of our existing customers have been able to generate through using Eniram’s systems.

Mr Martin Penney, Global Market Development Manager of Eniram, continues: “Eniram has nearly 200 vessels installed with its fuel saving and energy management systems covering all vessel types – container vessels, Tankers, LNG carriers, RoRo vessels, bulkers and cruise ships. We are building something that makes a difference and look forward to bringing the benefits of these systems to the Japanese market and working the sophisticated Japanese shipping companies to help make their vessels even more efficient.

Over the last 18 months, Eniram has been gradually expanding its footprint in Asia: first, in order to better service clients in the region, the company opened its Asian headquarters in Singapore in the Spring of 2012. In September that year, Eniram announced a strategic partnership with Headway Technology Co. Ltd, based in Qingdao (China), and just a few months later, Eniram appointed two Korean partners with extensive maritime experience and client reach to distribute Eniram ship efficiency solutions to the Korean shipping industry, one of the biggest shipbuilding nations and fleet owners in Asia and globally.
